The Enigma of Atheism

This beautiful bronze sculpture is called “Self-Made Man” by Bobbie Carlyle. The original sculpture is in stone.

In medium and message, "Self-Made Man" is an enigma. Marvelous as it is, this sculpture depicting a man sculpting himself into existence has absolutely no awareness or recognition of its creator. Do you think we humans have more sense than this piece of bronze, with all the awareness, senses and intelligence we have?

In as much as secular man with his atheistic philosophy imagines and thinks that he owes his origins to no one but himself and his tools, he is a living, walking enigma, a creature in flesh and blood no better than a bronze or stone sculpture!

Anti-War Bureaucrat Campaigns at Funerals

Catherine Baker Knoll, Lt. Governor of Pennsylvania, took the liberal
anti-war cause to shameful extremes when she showed up uninvited at the
funeral of Staff Sgt. Joseph Goodrich, a marine who served in Iraq and was
slain by a mortar blast. Knoll handed out her business card and then said
"our government" is against this war. Presumably she meant Pennsylvania
Governor Ed Rendell's administration is against the war. The family of the
slain marine was deeply offended. This was reported by the Pittsburgh
Post-Gazette on Saturday. (Brought to our attention by Michelle Malkin).

UPDATE: Knoll apologized and the Goodrich family accepted her apology

Deluded State Governments

Netherlands, Belgium, Spain, and Canada : Four states thus far that have imposed legal homosexual marriage laws on their populations.

The plague spreads like AIDS. It first breaks down resistance by attempting to disable the antibodies so that the body is powerless against it. The body begins to accept it as normal. Then the virus takes over. The organism dies.

Homosexuality is not new. It was first suggested in the Scriptures when Noah cursed Canaan, his grandson, from whom descended the founders and inhabitants of Sodom and Gomorrha. No culture since the beginning of time has ever survived the institutionalization of homosexuality.

From Judge to Justice

President Bush has nominated Judge John Roberts to the U.S. Supreme Court. The President has made a choice, and his decision deserves respect. President Bush was reelected with overwhelming majority for a second term for such a time as this.

The Democrat Senator of Guantanamo fame, Dick Durbin, has already promised and guaranteed a controversy over the President's choice. Durbin serves the special interest groups such as Planned Parenthood. Durbin did not hesitate to make the unconscionable statement slandering the U.S. operations in Guantanamo by comparing them to Hitler's holocaust and Cambodia's murderous Polpot regime. He was later proved to be wrong by other senators who visited Guantanamo and who concluded that the prisoners were being treated fairly and humanely. Durbin, and his Democrat lackeys will not fail to make just as egregious a slander on John Roberts. Can a zebra change its stripes?

I think it won't be such a fierce confirmation battle as the media is expecting. Rather, I believe Judge Roberts will shortly be Justice Roberts.

ICR: Stem Cell Research—Doing Evil to Do Good

The Institute of Creation Research (icr.org) helps present some basic information on stem cells. Among them:
"What Are Stem Cells?

Stem cells are young and unspecialized cells. Under the right conditions, they can be chemically encouraged to form any cell in the body. Because there are just a few in adults, researchers find they are more readily acquired from the egg cell prior to its implantation in the mother’s uterus (Ganong 2003, 518)."
ICR has an enlightening article called, "Stem Cell Research—Doing Evil to Do Good" at this link,

The Burden of Proof

The normal mode of the universe is order and design. The fact that there are catastrophes, diseases and death does not at all detract from the fundamental evidence in the universe for intelligent design. It is plain to see. One would have to suppress or distort the evidence in order to deny the basic fact that the universe is governed by laws, by order, and by design. The universe has a Designer.

The burden of proof lies with the atheists to prove that there is no God. Because they believe only in what they can see, they have to go everywhere in the universe, throughout time and see for themselves that God doesn't exist. Until they can do this, their assertion that there is no God is merely an expression based on faith just like a religious belief.

Atheism is a religious belief and the Supreme Court has established it in its many decisions in favor of the ACLU against God.

Sunni and Shiite

When Mohammed died, the religion he founded split into two branches: the Sunni and the Shiite branches. The division runs deep. Rit Nosotro at Hyperhistory.net explains:
"In Iraq, the Shiite population is about fifty-five percent, the Sunni population forty percent, and non-Muslims make up five percent... In Iran, almost any Muslim (actually ninety-three percent) is a Shiite. Despite being the minority, Sunnis dominated Iraqi politics while Hussein was in power which is what partly led to the decade long war between the two countries begining in the eighties. Millions were killed on both sides. Although the war has ended, Sunnis and Shiites are still fighting for power and pride today."
In Iraq, the Americans are not the only target of terrorists. The population is deeply divided along religious lines, and decades of animosity between Shiite and Sunni still work murder and destruction among the people.

Establishment of Religion

The Supreme Court relies almost exclusively on an organized body of secularists in order to make decisions against religion, particularly Christianity. This organized body is the ACLU, and their religion is Pluralism/Atheism. The ACLU's high priestess is Ruth Ginzberg, one of the justices of the Supreme Court. Justice Anthony Kennedy also serves this secular religion. Other Justices pay homage to secularism as well.

The ACLU is the organized body of secular religion established by the Supreme Court in violation of the Constitution.

Proving That There Is No God

Since Atheism relies* on empirical knowledge for what can be known, its adherents* will have to search the whole universe exhaustively in order to conclude that there is no God. That is, they would have to claim omniscience* to include all the facts for their claim to be valid.

The fact is: Atheism relies* on suppression of evidence to support its assertion that there is no God.

The Atheist, because of something called human limitation, cannot go to the far reaches of the universe, nor travel to the past to say for sure that there is no God. It is merely by faith that he holds that there is no God, a faith that the U.S. Supreme Court has established as a secular religion.*

The Context of "Separation of Church and State"

Believing with you that religion is a matter which lies solely between Man & his God, that he owes account to none other for his faith or his worship, that the legitimate powers of government reach actions only, & not opinions, I contemplate with sovereign reverence that act of the whole American people which declared that their legislature should "make no law respecting an establishment of religion, or prohibiting the free exercise thereof," thus building a wall of separation between Church and State…

--Thomas Jefferson
An excellent discussion of The Separation Illusion by Gregory Koukl at Stand to Reason is at this site.

Atheism is not the opposite of religion. It is as much based on faith, and has a set of beliefs as any other religion. Atheism relies on the active suppression of the truth about God. In any honest intellectual discussion, the truth about God is irresistible, but atheists and secular fundamentalists dismiss or explain away large areas of human experience related to spiritual and supernatural phenomena. In fact, one of the fundamental beliefs of atheism is that there is no supernatural. "In the beginning, there was only the cosmos" is a fundamental belief of atheism, sustained only by faith.

Yet, the Supreme Court has maintained the illusion that it did not establish religion when it favored atheism in associating everything having to do with God as religion. Atheism has elements of religious faith. The position of the Supreme Court is logically in error.

It takes faith to believe that the cosmos is all there is, to suppress the truth, and believe that there is no God.

Great Britain's Prayer

Hear my voice, O God, in my complaint;
Preserve my life from dread of the enemy.
Hide me from the secret counsel of evildoers,
From the tumult of those who do iniquity,
Who have sharpened their tongue like a sword
They aimed bitter speech as their arrow,
To shoot from concealment at the blameless;
Suddenly they shoot at him, and do not fear.
They hold fast to themselves an evil purpose;
They talk of laying snares secretly;
They say, "Who can see them?"
They devise injustices, saying,
"We are ready with a well-conceived plot";
For the inward thought and the heart of a man are deep.
But God will shoot at them with an arrow;
Suddenly they will be wounded.
So they will make him stumble;
Their own tongue is against them;
All who see them will shake the head.
Then all men will fear,
And they will declare the work of God,
And will consider what He has done.
The righteous man will be glad in the LORD and will take refuge in Him;
And all the upright in heart will glory.

London Hit By Jihadists

A series of explosions hit London this morning. At least six explosions
occurred throughout the subway system of the city. Last year, a
similar style of attack hit Madrid, Spain. Scores are dead.

A Jihadist group called it "blessed."

The "religion of peace" strikes again.

Happy Birthday, America!

O beautiful for spacious skies, For amber waves of grain,
For purple mountain majesties Above the fruited plain!
America! America! God shed His grace on thee,
And crown thy good with brotherhood From sea to shining sea!

O beautiful for pilgrim feet, Whose stern impassioned stress
A thoroughfare for freedom beat Across the wilderness!
America! America! God mend thine every flaw
Confirm thy soul in self control, Thy liberty in law!

O beautiful for heroes proved In liberating strife,
Who more than self their country loved, And mercy more than life!
America! America! May God thy gold refine.
Till All success be nobleness And every gain divine!

O beautiful for patriot dream That sees beyond the years
Thine alabaster cities gleam, Undimmed by human tears!
America! America! God shed His grace on thee,
And crown thy good with brotherhood Form sea to shining sea!

Supreme Court Justice Resigns

Fox News reports that Supreme Court Justice Sandra Day O'Connor has
submitted a letter of resignation to the President. Following is the text
of her letter:

"Dear President Bush,

This is to inform you of my decision to retire from my position as an
Associate Justice of the Supreme Court of the United States,
effective upon the nomination and confirmation of my successor.

It has been a great privilege indeed to have served as a member of the
Court for 24 Terms.

I will leave it with enormous respect for the integrity of the Court and
its role under our constitutional structure.

Sincerely,

Sandra Day O'Connor"

Now, the battle for a new Supreme Court Justice begins.
