Obama, Biden, A Wheelchair and E-mail

It appears that the Democrat Party's candidates for President and Vice-President share a certain insensitivity, despite their much vaunted oratory.

While campaigning in Columbia, Mo, Joe Biden, acknowledged State Senator Chuck Graham by saying,

Chuck, stand up, let the people see you.

Chuck Graham is confined to a wheelchair. Biden quickly realized his gaffe and he told the crowd to stand up for Chuck instead.

Barack Obama's latest campaign attack on John McCain is that McCain "can't send an e-mail" attempting to portray John McCain as anachronistic.

It is true that John McCain doesn't personally send e-mail, but "the reason he doesn't send email is that he can't use a keyboard because of the relentless beatings he received from the Viet Cong." (Thanks to PowerLineBlog.com for bringing this to our attention.) For McCain's pioneering use of the WWW in his campaign, please see this link.

Somehow all that oratory now seems like a noisy gong or a clanging cymbal.

Sarah Palin "Not The Right Kind of Woman"

The nomination of Sarah Palin, the governor of Alaska, for vice president of the United States has intensified the Culture War.

She is an intelligent, outspoken woman, expressive of her faith in God, young, popular, articulate, a graduate of the University of Idaho, a political conservative, a reformer, an experienced mayor and governor, and unashamedly pro-life. She and Todd Palin have been married twenty years and have five children, one of whom is afflicted with Down Syndrome.

The liberal elite media and the "progressive" left have began to cast aspersions on her because she is not the "right kind of woman", i.e., she does not fit the liberal mold of a career woman who is fiercely independent, slightly man-hating, anti-war, protective of abortion rights, liberal feminist, a graduate of an ivy league university, a committed adherent of Darwinism, and a yes-man to environmentalism.

She has been accused of not being a good mother, of not being the true mother of Trig, her "Down Syndrome" baby, and of having an adulterous relationship with her husband's best friend. The Obama campaign also compares her to Pontius Pilate who sentenced Jesus to the cross, while Obama himself is compared to Jesus Christ. She has also been accused of banning books from the Wasilla Public Library and of animal cruelty.
UPDATE:
Local and foreign comedians have made fun of her and her family, and have made lecherous jokes about her, and liberal women have belittled her public service. Hollywood actors have defamed her. A liberal talk show host has smeared her, implying pedophilia.

The Ninth Commandment is, "You shall not bear false witness against your neighbor." (Exodus 20:16)

The politically correct ninth commandment is, "Lying, defamation, and slander of those who oppose political correctness shall be justified. You shall destroy anyone, especially in politics, who does not adhere to political correctness."

Thus the angry Left is merely practicing the ninth (PC) commandment against Sarah Palin.

For I have heard the slander of many,
Terror is on every side;
While they took counsel together against me,
They schemed to take away my life.
But as for me, I trust in You, O LORD,
I say, "You are my God."
My times are in Your hand;

Deliver me from the hand of my enemies and from those who persecute me.
Make Your face to shine upon Your servant;
Save me in Your lovingkindness.
Let me not be put to shame, O LORD, for I call upon You;
Let the wicked be put to shame, let them be silent in Sheol.
Let the lying lips be mute,
Which speak arrogantly against the righteous
With pride and contempt.

How great is Your goodness,
Which You have stored up for those who fear You,
Which You have wrought for those who take refuge in You,
Before the sons of men!
You hide them in the secret place of Your presence from the conspiracies of man;
You keep them secretly in a shelter from the strife of tongues.
Blessed be the LORD,
For He has made marvelous His lovingkindness to me in a besieged city.

Barack Obama and Governor Palin in T-Shirt

In response to Republican criticism of Obama's experience, that as a community organizer, such experience is inadequate for the presidency of the United States, and also in response to John McCain's choice of the governor of Alaska as vice-presidential candidate, the Obama campaign is distributing T-shirts with the slogan: "Jesus was a community organizer. Pilate was a governor."

Why take a parallelism from Jesus and the gospels? It seems like there is a cult like character to the Obama campaign. The inanity of this comparison should be obvious.
