They Gave So That Others May Live

Master at Arms Second Class Michael Anthony Monsoor (April 5, 1981 – September 29, 2006) was a U.S. Navy SEAL killed during the Iraq War and posthumously awarded the Medal of Honor. Monsoor used his body to prevent a grenade blast from killing three other SEALs in a sniper hide in the Mulaab district of Ramadi, Iraq.

He and thousands like him have given their lives so that others may live. May their sacrifice not be in vain.

It brought tears down my cheeks and thank you for reminding us this memorial week- end for the ultimate sacrifice these brave men & women have given so that we may live in freedom
