Media Goes Into Hysterics Over SpongeBob

Dr. James Dobson of Focus on the Family said in a speech last week in Washington during an event sponsored by the Family Research Council that,
"SpongeBob is one of 100 popular animated characters that may have been co-opted by an innocuous-sounding group to promote acceptance of homosexuality to children. The group, the We Are Family Foundation, has produced a video slated for distribution to 61,000 public and private elementary schools; it features SpongeBob, Big Bird, Barney and others singing the old disco hit 'We Are Family' and spreading a message of 'diversity and unity.'"
The Media went into a frenzy over Dr. Dobson's comments, mischaracterizing his statement as a particular attack on the cartoon character "SpongeBob" for being gay. The response of the old Media can only be described as hysterical, and it only reveals the following: the media will viciously promote and defend homosexuality; the media will obscure the truth from the public and prey on the public's sentimentality; the media will use slander and distortion of facts to destroy the critics of homosexuality. It also illustrates the "idol" status of cartoon characters and television characters in general.

I uphold that homosexuals are persons with God-given rights and value equal to any other human being. I also uphold that the practice of homosexuality is abhorrent. I agree with Dr. James Dobson that "tolerance" and "diversity" are buzz words for promoting the gay agenda. They are a Trojan Horse.
