Let's Not Pretend

In his inaugural address President George W. Bush stated, "America will not
pretend that jailed dissidents prefer their chains, or that women welcome
humiliation and servitude, or that any human being aspires to live at the
mercy of bullies."

One of those bullies is China. Let's not pretend that China is a friend
just because it promises to be a huge market for American made goods. The
following is from The Voice of the Martyrs:
"Mengyu Tang is only 27 years old and serving a six-year sentence in prison in China for starting an unregistered Sunday school. Like Li Ying of China, Pastor Nguyen Quang of Vietnam, and Parvez Masih of Pakistan, Tang’s bold spirit is reflected in the words of Peter and John when they said, 'We ought to obey God rather than men.'(Acts 5:29)."
China is one of the world's oppressors. It is ruled by a tyrant Communist regime that has no respect for religious liberty.
