Sugar-coating the Unacceptable

The first shots of the culture war were fired in the area of language. The liberals and secularists realize that in order to make the unacceptable more tolerable, and ultimately promote it as something that is desirable, they have to remove the sting of words traditionally and appropriately associated with the causes that they champion.
