When you and I see this notice, "For Adults Only" anywhere, we unmistakably bring up an association with sex and nudity, maybe violence, but more likely sex or nudity. Society posts this notice on sexually explicit material suggesting that the material should be kept from children. Is this society's way of exculpating adults, granting them permission to indulge the lusts of the flesh just because they don't allow children to view the material? Why is it harmful to children and not to adults? Shouldn't it be equally harmful to adults if it is harmful to children? The suggestion is, that adults are better able to handle sexually explicit material than children can. The truth is, adults are just more adept at rationalizations for indulging in lust of the eyes and of the flesh. The warning notice is more accurately read as, "For the Adulterous Only."
