Rearranging the Deck Chairs on the Titanic

My pastor admonished us not to be concerned about who would get elected. It is like rearranging the deck chairs on the Titanic, he said. With this reasoning, I should not be concerned about which doctor should check up on my ailing loved one, because she is going to die sooner or later. Never mind that the doctor may have a forged diploma from a Medical school. It should be all right for him to practice medicine on my loved one because he says he is a doctor.
